QR CODE EN12477:2001 (Protection for welder gloves) This standard applies to gloves that provide hand and wrist protection in welding and similar work situations. Welding gloves are tested according to EN388:2016 (Mechanical Risks Protection) and EN407 (Thermal Risks Protection) The Gloves are also assessed according to its design and purpose: Type A refers to gloves with high protection against heat but with lower flexibility and dexterity. Type B refers to gloves with lower protection against heat but with greater flexibility and dexterity. Permeability to water (Performance level 0 or 1) Resistance to contact cold (Performance level 0-4) The higher performance level the better insulating capacity Resistance to convective cold (Performance level 0-4) 0 = Water penetration after 30minutes 1 = No water penetration after 30 minutes EN511 (Cold Protection for Gloves) This standard applies to any gloves to protect the hands against convective and contact cold down to -50 degrees Celsius The pictogram will be accompanied by a 3-digit code.
